Creating an Enchanted Life
Because magic isn’t just in fairy tales. It’s all around you.

When I say enchanted, I don’t mean a fairy tale with a wicked little prince turned into a frog, though I suppose that has its own kind of magic. To me, living an enchanted life means living a life full of wonder, magic, and everyday miracles. It’s a way of seeing the world that makes the ordinary feel extraordinary.
The Magic of Everyday Miracles
We’re surrounded by little miracles every single day. Many of which we overlook or take for granted. Living an enchanted life means waking up to those wonders and truly seeing them.
Think about it: An apple is a miracle. It starts as a tiny seed and grows into a strong tree that eventually bears nourishing, delicious fruit. That’s not just nature. It’s magic.
Or the sun, rising in the sky like clockwork, even as our planet spins around it at 67,000 miles per hour, yet we stay grounded. That’s miraculous.
The tides move at the command of the moon. A rainbow appears just as the rain gives way to sunshine. Technology that once filled an entire building now fits in the palm of our hand. These aren’t small things. They’re everyday marvels.
The Wonder of Synchronicities
And then there are the synchronicities. You think about starting a new project, and suddenly, messages and opportunities flood in from people on the same path. You dream of something wonderful and, out of the blue, it shows up. You talk about money, and a check arrives. You whisper, Wouldn’t it be nice if… and the universe answers.
These magical moments are happening all the time. The more you notice them, the more they seem to show up. That’s what I call enchanted living.
So How Do You Create an Enchanted Life?
It all begins with noticing.
- Start by noticing the beauty, the blessings, the wonders already present in your life, and appreciating them.
- Remember the magic you believed in as a child. The more you remember, the more you’ll start to see it again.
- Appreciate what is going well, and spend less energy dwelling on what’s not.
- Pay attention to your thoughts, and gently release beliefs that no longer support you.
- Learn to love yourself a little more each day. Find things about you that you genuinely appreciate.
- Be like Pollyanna and look for something to be glad about, even in the challenges. Every hard moment holds a gift.
- Appreciate the relationships in your life, even the tough ones. Sometimes, our greatest teachers wear the most frustrating disguises.
- Listen to your heart. Your intuition knows the way. Follow the nudges, even the quiet ones.
We’ve been taught to be rational, practical, and realistic. But let’s be honest… Magic rarely lives in the land of “realistic.”
My Own Path to Magic
I wasn’t always able to see life this way. For a long time, I clung to old beliefs, past hurts, and outdated judgments. My mind convinced me I needed them all to stay safe.
I think of the movie Labyrinth, with Jennifer Connelly as Sarah. There’s a scene where she finds herself in a junkyard, and an old woman piles useless things onto her back, insisting, “You need this… and this… and this…” For a moment, Sarah believes her, until she realizes none of it matters. She remembers her true purpose and lets it all go.
I was Sarah. My mind was the old woman. I didn’t realize how heavy all that emotional junk was, until I started to release it.
As I let go, forgave, softened, and opened up, I began to feel lighter. Freer. Happier. I laughed more. Loved more. Noticed more. I became excited at the thought of getting up every morning. I had anticipation for the magic and wonders the day would bring.
My life is beginning to feel truly magical, enchanted, and I am enjoying the journey, instead of striving to get “there”. We never really get “there” or if we do, it is not what we expected.
Your Enchanted Life Awaits
We each have a unique path. Mine may look different from yours, and that’s okay. But if anything I’ve shared here resonates, let it be an invitation: Your own enchanted life is not only possible. It’s waiting for you to say yes.
Before you go, here are a few gentle questions to stir your heart and spark your own inner magic:
What’s one small moment of magic you might be overlooking today?
Where in your life might enchantment already be whispering to you?
What would shift if you started seeing your life through the eyes of wonder and appreciation?
What would it look like if you said yes to your own enchanted life, starting right now?
If your enchanted life knocked on your door today, would you recognize it?
To begin creating your own enchanted life, start where you are. Notice what’s beautiful. Follow what feels magical. Let what resonated with you from this article guide your next step, even if it’s a small one. And trust that even the slightest shift in perspective can open the door to a life more enchanted than you ever imagined.
Enjoy the journey to your enchanted life. 💖💖💖
