Appreciation: The Secret Vibration of Manifestation

It’s not just about feeling thankful—it’s about feeling free.

Most people think appreciation is just being polite or thankful. But appreciation—true appreciation—is a vibrational rocket. It’s the secret frequency that aligns you with the life you’ve been dreaming about.

I didn’t always know that. In fact, the last 15 years have tested me. There were times I felt like a failure. I blamed myself because my life didn’t look the way I wanted it to.
After all, I believe in the Law of Attraction and in my ability to create my life any way I desire.

It took me far longer than I expected to fully believe—deep in my bones—that all of it is true: the Universe responds to me, and I do create my reality.
It took courage and the ability to really look at my life and say “I did that”. It is not the fault of my partner, or the community, or the economy. I have created the masterpiece that is my life. And if it isn’t exactly the way I would wish it to be, there is nobody to blame, but myself. And by “blame,” I don’t mean self-punishment. I mean full responsibility—the kind that empowers you to choose again. I created this experience I call my life.

As I gained a more thorough understanding about how the universe actually works, my life has begun to change in many subtle but positive ways. Miracles happen every day. Of course, the miracles were always happening. But without the right mindset, they’re invisible—hidden in plain sight.

I see so many more possibilities for my life. Even if I am not where I want to be, I am steadily moving towards it and really enjoying the journey.

I still get caught up sometimes—especially when my husband shares news headlines with me. I haven’t watched TV since 2011. I always figured anything you need to know somebody is going to share with you.

So, I see myself getting caught up by the scary messages about our economy and I have to step back and say “I know that I am taken care of”.

In my life, I have been on food stamps, disability. I have been unable to pay the rent. Even when we didn’t have an extra $5 dollars, we always had what we needed. I like thinking back to those times, because it makes me feel safe.

I have always been taken care of by the universe. I think it is only when we get caught up in fear, that we perpetuate more reasons to be afraid. Like being on a tread mill, you never get anywhere. The only way to go somewhere different is to get off that treadmill and walk away from it.

Start telling a new story. Start looking at what IS going well in your life. There is always SOMETHING. There is always ONE thing that you could appreciate if you really tried. Even if it means you have someplace to sleep tonight, or something to eat, or you have a job you hate. It doesn’t matter. There are many who are having trouble making their miracles happen.
My dad used to say, “There are kids in India who would love that brown banana.” As simplistic as it sounded back then, he was right—someone out there would be grateful for what I was throwing away.

So, my point is that finding things to appreciate helped me tremendously. I am still working on it, but every time I find myself being critical of life, I am urged to find something I can appreciate. Even if you only have one thing you can appreciate right now, write it down somewhere and look at it every day. As you do this a funny thing happens. The divine is always paying attention to the energy you put out into the world. As you begin to appreciate this one thing, the divine says “let’s give them more to appreciate” and you will be inspired to notice something else you appreciate. It begins slowly, but it is like a snowball and pretty soon, you have many things to appreciate on that piece of paper, so many you don’t have time to read them all the same day. You begin allowing more well being to flow to you. You become more optimistic. Things just look better to you. Life looks better to you. That horrible relationship looks better to you. That terrible job? Either the cause behind why it was terrible goes away, or you find you have an opportunity to work someplace much better.

I have to admit, I didn’t come up with this idea. It came by way of Abraham-Hicks.

That’s why I turned appreciation into a game—because if it feels like work, I lose interest fast. But if it’s fun? I’m all in.
So, I created a Magical Book of Appreciation. It can be as simple or elaborate as you like. Use a computer notepad if you want. It makes no difference. The thing about it is the more you practice it, the more profound the positive changes.

When you’re in a state of true appreciation, you’re in alignment with your Source. And in that alignment, one person can become more powerful—more energetically influential—than a million who are pushing against life. That’s not just poetic; it’s vibrational truth. Appreciation aligns you with the creative force of the Universe.

If you’ve got one thing to appreciate, you’ve got enough. Start there. The Universe always responds. Appreciation is so potent, because it places you in alignment and that is where ALL your true power lives.
Alignment is your superpower.

You don’t need a perfect life to feel appreciation. You just need one honest moment of noticing what’s good—and the magic begins!
