Keep in the sunlight.”
~ Benjamin Franklin

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but we often look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.”
~ Helen Keller

“I have spent most of my life worrying about things that never happened.”
~ Mark Twain

The Trouble Box

In Guatemala, there’s a charming tradition where children have what are called “trouble dolls.” Whenever they’re feeling worried or troubled, they tell their doll all about it. Then, they tuck the doll under their pillow, and, voila! The doll magically takes the worry away. It’s like having your very own little helper to carry your troubles for you!

Now, if you love the idea of magically releasing your worries, let me introduce you to something just as magical: the Trouble Box…

DIY Trouble Box

Grab a small box, anything from a shoebox to something smaller, or even a jar, like an old peanut butter jar. If you’re feeling creative, why not give it a makeover? You could paint it, cover it with fun paper, or add some glitter. Let your imagination run wild! Maybe even write “For Troubles” on it to give it a special touch.

Next, you’ll need some small pieces of paper, around 2″ x 4″ should do the trick. Whenever you’re feeling weighed down by a worry, frustration, or any other negative emotion, jot it down on one of the slips. Whether it’s anger, hurt, judgment, or anything else that’s bothering you, write it down.

Then, take a moment to fold the paper and place it in your box, symbolically handing it over to the universe. You’re letting it go with the intention of releasing that burden. Once the box is full, you can choose to bury the notes or burn them safely, with the intention that these troubles no longer serve you, and you’re ready to move on.

Over time, you’ll notice that certain worries start to fade away, and you’ll feel lighter. This can be especially helpful for anyone who feels troubled by the chaos in the world. Remember, everything is divinely guided. There’s nothing going wrong, despite what the media might say. If you find yourself caught up in worries, why not give the Trouble Box a try? 💖💖💖

In Guatemala, there’s a charming tradition where children have what are called “trouble dolls.” Whenever they’re feeling worried or troubled, they tell their doll all about it.
